What are the risks associated with the intervention, suggested by your care provider? Meaning- are there any threats to your or your baby’s health, possible side-effects, postpartum discomfort options, etc.

Are there any safer alternatives available? If you are unsure about a certain procedure, ask your care provider if he/she has a plan B or are willing to brainstorm with you to come up with a Plan B

IN HOW MUCH TIME

During labour, in how much time will you need to make a choice about an upcoming intervention? Will you have time to decide with your partner and wisely choose options to make informed decisions?

N

stands for NOTHING

Is it possible to do nothing and let things unfold naturally? Under what circumstances can there be no interventions at all? This can be quite comforting to find out!

stands for SAFE

Do you feel comfortable & supported with the advice offered by your care provider? Or is he/she not open to discussing the labour and birth process in a way that you would like to approach it?
